Educational Goals

Spiritual Devotion

The graduate of HBA should be able to give measurable evidence of achieving the following competencies relating to spiritual devotion.

  1. Give a persuasive personal testimony of having experienced the new birth in Jesus Christ
  2. Practice discipleship as evidenced through personal devotional habits, interactive discipleship with others, and personal/relational evangelism.
  3. Must show a determination to grow in sanctification by continuing to put off sin and
    to put on Christ.
  4. Demonstrate a consistent pursuit of Christ’s likeness as enabled by the Holy Spirit by
    living a holy, consecrated life, to be exemplified throughout the Academy tenure.
  5. Engage in effective soul-winning.

Academic Competency

As a result of studying at HBA, the graduate should be able to provide evidence of having
achieved the specific academic goals outlined for the program from which the student
graduates.

Professional Competency

As a result of all experiences encountered at the Academy, the graduate should be able to serve the church as a servant/leader. We don’t just produce academic scholars but church leaders who will transform the church and states in Africa.
